Can Chemical Peels Help Acne Scars?


Most people think chemical peels work by simply “removing the top layer of skin.”
That’s only part of the story.
The real benefit lies in what happens beneath the surface.
Acne scars form when inflammation damages the skin’s collagen network during the healing process. Instead of rebuilding normal tissue, the skin may produce too little collagen, creating depressions known as atrophic scars.

So how can a chemical peel help?
